Comparing Robot Quotes When Specifications Differ
Suppliers rarely quote the same thing. Normalise before you compare.
Build a comparison matrix

| Cycle time | The same product, route and allowances |
| Scope | The same inclusions and exclusions |
| Accuracy | The same test standard and conditions |
| Service | The same response time and coverage |
| Training | The same number of people and days |
| Delivery | The same delivery terms and installation responsibility |
Then apply a weighted score
- Score technical compliance before price, then apply weights.
- Treat missing information as a gap rather than as compliance.
- Record the assumption behind every score.
- Ask suppliers to confirm the normalised scope in writing.
A price comparison without a scope comparison is not a comparison.
